EN// During 30 days, Aline Yasmin organized the various fragments of anthropological texts in collaboration with the artists’ collective. The result was a multilingual dramatic reading with audio-video installations using indigenous music, recorded poems and photos of Renato Soares, a Brazilian indigenist.
An artistic project of research and denouncement that reveals the richness of the ancestral cultures of the productive Amazon.

Pendant 30 jours, Aline Yasmin a organisé en collaboration avec le collectif d’artistes les différents fragments de textes anthropologiques. Le résultat a été une lecture dramatique multilingue avec des installations audio-vidéo utilisant de la musique indigène, des poèmes enregistrés et des photos de Renato Soares, un indigéniste brésilien. Un projet artistique de recherche et de dénonciation qui révèle la richesse des cultures ancestrales de l’Amazonie productive.

EN//Betty Mindlin – Brazilian writer and anthropologist specializing in the myths and other traditions of the indigenous people of the southern Amazon.
Internationally recognized for her commitment to the indigenous cause, she began her career in the early 1970s, during the dictatorial military regime, fighting for the demarcation of indigenous areas. Moving from the countryside to the academic world, she graduated in Anthropology at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, and helped found the Instituto de Antropologia y Meio Ambiente (IAMA), a non-governmental organization created in 1987 and dedicated to the study of indigenous peoples and their myths.
Moqueca de Maridos, in 1997, won the coveted Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte award in the Tales/Folklore category, relating the oral tradition of five indigenous tribes through erotic myths. This title has since been translated into English and French.
FR//Betty Mindlin est une écrivaine et anthropologue brésilienne spécialisée dans les mythes et autres traditions des peuples indigènes de l’Amazonie méridionale. Reconnue internationalement pour son engagement en faveur de la cause indigène, elle a commencé sa carrière dans les années 1970, pendant le régime militaire dictatorial, en luttant pour la démarcation des territoires indigènes. Passant de la campagne au monde universitaire, elle a obtenu un diplôme en anthropologie à l’Université pontificale catholique de São Paulo et a contribué à la création de l’Institut d’anthropologie et d’environnement (IAMA), une organisation non gouvernementale créée en 1987 et dédiée à l’étude des peuples indigènes et de leurs mythes. En 1997, son livre “Moqueca de Maridos” a remporté le prestigieux prix de l’Association des critiques d’art de São Paulo dans la catégorie des contes/folklore, relatant la tradition orale de cinq tribus indigènes à travers des mythes érotiques. Ce titre a depuis été traduit en anglais et en français.
